Pewter is a hard, tough, but easily fusible, silver-gray alloy. Originally consisting mainly of tin with a little copper and antimony.

Pewter was formerly much used for domestic kitchen utensils and tableware such as dishes, porringers, drinking vessels, tankards and pots. Pewter is also cast as souvenirs and other fine decorative household items.
